Photographer and therapist Emily Schumacher is a resident of New Orleans.

During 2018 while on a trip to Mexico City, she received news that her older brother Bryan had lost his lifelong battle with mental illness and addiction.

“Cozy” is her own personal narrative of finding comfort in the spaces and people that surround her while coping with grief. She finds satisfaction through these visual narratives shot on both digital and film.
